I make objects to be touched and lived. I want to influence the spaces people experience on a daily basis.

The intimacy of objects is a critical component of my work. Rather than an artwork that can exist in a white box, these are social creatures that are meant to contain the mundane and sacred things we surround ourselves with. Will they hold flowers from your garden, the ashes of a loved one, or the sugar for your morning coffee? 🌀🤍

My contemporary ceramic work is wheel-thrown with sculptural elements, often made in multiple parts. Surfaces are architectural in nature with burnished porcelain and oxides rather than traditional glazes.

Jessica studied ceramics and sculpture at MassArt and architecture and furniture design at Boston Architectural College. She lives in Boston and is a resident artist at Mother Brook Art and Community Center in Dedham, MA.
